The "hate" people are back--will it work again? against Jews, against Muslims, and against Obama?

A note from Rabbi Lerner:

The "hate" people are back, spreading disgusting lies about Obama, about all Muslims, and about all Jews. We even have been told by the American mainstream media that Sen. McCain's campaign has decided to try to make their focus on assaulting the character of Barac Obama. Some media also report that Obama is going to respond in kind.

[ZR] Leoni, If you want an open political discussion on the US election candidates send something ... with all the facts you can find showing why Obama would be a better President than Mcain, and I'll provide all the evidence I can showing why I think Obama would be a disaster for the US and the free world as a whole ... The left wing and main stream press in the US is choosing to ignore all the important negatives about Obama who has a long history of associating with terrorists, muslim radicals and racist Black liberation theology.

[LH] Zak, if you are a Bailey student, then perhaps you would like to debate Obama upon http://ngsm.org/USA2008d.htm , members copied to you. Meantime I have attached a paper 'Bailey Students and Politics.' L

[ZR] For me it wouldn't be worth spending the time on such an important subject/debate with such few people. [...] has nearly 300 members and a discussion would be allowed there so long as it included a little esoteric astrology, which wouldn't be hard to inlclude with the transits going on in the US's soul and personality charts. Also there would be a broader range of persuasions on [...].

[LH] Zach, I would like to trade ideas with you, but I am not interested in debating such an important subject with people who are not trained in Bailey esotericism. Neither do I need an audience. In those "few people", are two of the most accomplished esoteric astrologers I know, and they may choose to participate, and thereby really make it a worthwhile sharing of ideas.. It will need to be that forum or I am not interested. You let me know. L

[JB] Fully agree with Leoni. I'm not looking for an audience either. Any serious student of AAB-DK willing to apply the Teachings to the problems of humanity is welcome to contribute/share ideas in a spirit of goodwill. I'm not interested in "discussing politics" either. No time to waste. I'm interested in the NGWS field of political service, very different from the astral dumpsite of gutter politics (such as "Obama who has a long history of associating with terrorists, muslim radicals and racist Black liberation theology.")

[PL] It seems that the world dweller is really coming out in these past few weeks, fueled by fear on the stock market as well as the imminent USA elections. To address your question, 'what accounts for the disproportional aggregation of financial power', is esoterically, simply to do with the developed 'third aspect' that emanates from the first solar system (esoterically the third) and the fact that the Jewish monads are the product of that system.

The third aspect is the most material ray and of course it pours through the sign of Capricorn very strongly. We are also in a third ray cycle at the moment. Added to that is the fact that the Jewish race is a Capricorn and a third ray personality. It is a point of least resistance and accounts for the disproportionate ability of relatively few powerful intellects to control the most capital. Of course this disproportionate-ness is across the board in all expressions of the Jewish genius in the arts and sciences - this has been well documented by DK and exoterically.

And of course down the ages, the Jew has been persecuted for this financial controlling behaviour and 'moved on'. Its such a deeply poignant catch 22 situation, because those persecutions have led to driving those money survival patterns even more deeply into the Jewish dweller.

Now that Pluto is going through Capricorn, it is not only going to bring out the financial corruption of Wall St, but it is going to deeply affect the Jewish Capricorn personality,  plus its first ray soul, ruled in part by Pluto.

As New York is the biggest 'Jewish capital' outside of Israel, and the money capital of the world, there is going to be alot of Jew blaming in the ongoing financial meltdown. The situation is going to be difficult in terms of who is going to take responsibility or be 'blamed' because alot of those old big financial institutions who have crashed are/were Jewish. The list is large and I think many of them are responsible for contributing significantly to the 'greed' trend and corruption that exists. That ancient word 'usury' comes to mind. We are now witnessing the fall of the collective 'Gordon Gecko' (greed is good). Nevertheless, many non-Jewish corporations and individuals are all following these trends. Again, we come back to the Jews being the microcosm of humanity.

The scenes I have witnessed on CNN lately of finger pointing and blaming leave one breathless - there is a real panic in the air, accompanied by a deep resentment of the middle class investors who have been duped, ripped off, losing value on their 401K's etc.

Interesting to note that both Klein and Friedman are Jewish. Klein comments:

"I think this has been a class war waged by the rich against the poor, and I think that they won. And I think the poor are fighting back. This should be an indictment of an ideology. Ideas have consequences. "

Very interesting, because as we know, the 'war waged by the rich against the poor' is related to the difference between moon chain and earth chain souls. The more developed intellects of the moon chain are responsible for the difference between capital and labour as DK tells us. The moon chain was of course the third chain and some of us (Michael etc) have speculated that the first solar system monads may have come into this second system via the moon chain. Be that as it may, the third aspect is highlighted here.

Another factor as we move into the Age of Aquarius is that a far greater approximation of the rift between earth chain and moon chain souls is occurring due to the rapid development of intellect in earth chain souls in this Fifth Rootrace. This is also reflected in the gradual appropriation by the Christ (earth chain) of the role of the Buddha (moon chain).

So the middle classes who are (probably) predominantly earth chain souls are starting to say 'we are not going to take this anymore'. More than any other group, they will be the seeds of revolution in the world over the next 15 years.

PS - Usury - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usury
(pronounced
/ˈjuːʒəri/, comes from the Medieval Latin usuria, "interest" or "excessive interest", from the Latin usura "interest") originally meant the charging of interest on loans. This would have included charging a fee for the use of money, such as at a bureau de change. After countries legislated to limit the rate of interest on loans, usury came to mean the interest above the lawful rate. In common usage today, the word means the charging of unreasonable or relatively high rates of interest. As such, the term is largely derived from Abrahamic religious principles and Riba is the corresponding Islamic term. The primary focus in this article is on the Christian tradition.

The pivotal change in the English-speaking world seems to have come with the permission to charge interest on lent money: particularly the Act 'In restraint of usury' of Henry VIII in England in 1545 (see book references).

[MK] as a point of clarification, you wrote,
"To address your question, 'what accounts for the disproportional aggregation of financial power', is esoterically, simply to do with the developed 'third aspect' that emanates from the first solar system (esoterically the third) and the fact that the Jewish monads are the product of that system."

... this same question can and should be asked of other communities of relative economic privilege to answer.

Roerich AY Teachings on speculation. -JB

Illumination, III:III:5. Do not live on income from money. This profit is stained. The best interchange of goods is by direct exchange of objects; or if necessary they can be allowed to be exchanged into money to be reconverted immediately.
Do not be displeased except with yourself. Do not let others do what you can do for yourself, and in this way you will abolish the thralldom of servants. Do not say twice what needs to be said once. Do not re-tread the same path, for even a stone threshold will wear away. Do not swim where one has to fly. Do not turn back where one should make haste. Do not distort your mouth in ill-speech where you should pass in silence. When the steel of achievement is needed, do not cover yourself with rays. No need for a saddle where wings are growing. Not the fist but the hammer drives in the nail. Not the bow but the arrow reaches the mark. Not by my God, but by thine. Do not be bounded by a fence but by the fire of thought.

Leaves of Morya's Garden II,
Illumination
, 1925
Illumination, II:VI:1.  The striving towards a true cooperation lies at the foundation of evolution. Only by the awakening of creativeness may the march of ignorance be destroyed. Though its forms be even monstrous, though the sun be made in a back yard out of chips, still the foaming torrent will break through the walls of matter. New discoveries will stimulate the collecting. Instead of stock market speculation let there be striving for discoveries, supported by cooperative societies.

Illumination, III:III:15. Seldom do We choose the water routes. The element of water is in opposition to the magnetism of the mountains. The arrows of the lightning pierce the water without accrual of results. But We strive to insulate each current.
Metals are to be selected not according to their costliness but to their resistivity. One should not wear copper things. The ancients knew how much more useful was bronze. Also, zinc should no longer be used in the household. Not only is infection possible through contact with copper, but the channel of this metal brings maladies. Therefore, the copper coin has to be abolished. A tiniest silver one is better.
The crime of speculation has to be prosecuted relentlessly, because the Earth is sick from speculation.
Each epoch has its own plague. At present it is the epidemic of speculation. It must not be thought that humanity has always been plagued with this disease. But this disease brings promise of a radical change, because it cannot pass gradually and a paroxysm of evolution is needed in order to root out this infection.

Illumination, III:V:19. You will inevitably encounter a certain kind of people who fly into a rage at mention of the Teachers. They are ready to trust in any despicable stock market speculation, they are ready to believe in any swindle, but the idea of the General Welfare is inadmissible to them.
Look intently into the pupil of the eye of these people. Therein you will find an evasive shadow, and they cannot long endure your gaze. These are hidden dugpas. Often they are more dangerous than their more obvious colleagues.
Even if a purse of money is sent to them, they will recall a non-existent debtor. If they are saved from ruin, their gratitude will go to the police. Even if one should bring these seemingly well-intentioned people to the very boundary of Our Abode they will declare that what is seen is a mirage. It might be thought that this is due to ignorance, but the reason is far worse.
Beware of them! Chiefly, protect the children. They are the cause of many children's ailments. They find access into the schools. For them historical fact and the law of knowledge are non-existent. Upon encountering sickly children inquire about the quality of their teachers.
Just now, when an important time is drawing near, it is necessary to disinfect as many children as possible: They will be the ones to think about the cities of the future. They must be given a truthful book about the saintly heroes of the Common Good, but this book has not yet been written. Fallacious are children's books, spurious their playthings, false the smiles of their tutors. Amidst constant falsification is it possible to expect truthfulness?
I advise to devote time to the children. Let them carry stones and timbers for their city.
I have spoken about secret dugpas for your information; but for yourselves you need pay no attention to them, as to every striving worker they are mere dust.
But if you show children Our Domicile, they will joyously walk through all the laboratories and observatories. Our prismatic mirrors will give them unforgettable joy; because they love everything real, and We Ourselves strive for Truth.
Give the children only real, true objects!

New Era Community, 1926
Community, 36. I feel how the stratification of events is bringing waves of acceleration. These waves are of service in the cosmic structure.
I write down My notes of possibilities and come to the conclusion that all is possible just now. It is a rare thing when higher faith travels along the path with higher unbelief; when blasphemy and glorification can be in the same chorus; when fury and tranquility give birth to joy. When misfortune is manifested as a sign of success and when withdrawal serves as a sign of nearness, then the currents of emanations of the luminaries are blended with the inner fires. Such a time denotes a new cycle, and the Community itself, not even yet adopted, serves as a bridge.
Let us end on a lighter note. Is it possible to speak about stock exchange speculations on Jupiter, or about brothels on Venus? The concept is simply unthinkable. Even a chimney sweep going to visit washes his face. Could people possibly be worse? The time has come to set the Earth on a new path.

[LH] Thanks Maria, Jose, Phillip for thoughts on this matter, and quotes.
I have long thought that the following quotes re Capitalism from DK cut to the bone of the matter. Capitalism has placed human souls into the market place as a commodity to be sold and bartered - and the value of the working man is placed at zero... and we see the sad results of this in the world, and the degradation of so many of our brother sister souls. I have read somewhere Maria, that Moon Chain souls comprise the bulk of Capitalists on earth today. L

Capitalism.. has wrecked the world.. capitalists have cornered and exploited the world's resources and the staples required for civilized living.. they love money and the power which money gives [and use it to further their selfish intersts.].. The responsibility for the widespread misery to be found today in every country in the world lies predominantly at the door [of these people].. their families live soft and easy lives.. they surround themselves with beauty, luxury and possessions and shut their eyes to the poverty, stark unhappiness, lack of warmth and decent clothing, the starvation and the ugliness of the lives of the millions by whom they are surrounded.. they provide work for countless thousands but see to it that these thousands receive so small a wage that real comfort, leisure, culture and travel are impossible.. it is breeding revolution.. a war is starting between the selfish monied interests and the mass of humanity who demand fair play and a right share of the world's wealth.. the selfish thinking and the separative motivation which distinguishes the capitalistic system is also to be found in the small and unimportant business men—in the corner grocery, the plumber and the haberdasher who exploits his employees and deceives his customers. POH 71-73

The time will [Page 175] inevitably come when—in the interest of peace and security—the capitalists in the various nations will be forced to .. substitute the principle of sharing for the ancient principle (which has hitherto governed them) of greedy grabbing. POH 175

GOP Anger Unleashed At McCain Rallies. Washington Post: Campaign Is At The Center Of An Outpouring Of Raw Emotion Rare In A Presidential Race
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/10/politics/washingtonpost/main4513313.shtml?source=mostpop_story

[AP] McCain was booed by his own supporters Friday when, in an abrupt switch from raising questions about rival Barack Obama's character, he described the Democrat as a "decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States."

[JB] This AP report explains why we should NOT look the other way when a coworker's partisan rhetoric becomes indecently inflamatory. McCain is to be commended. -JB

[LH] Thanks for this. Good on McCain. I watched Michelle Obama interview of Larry King. The day before Cindy McCain denigrated Obama, and King asked Michelle for her thoughts. She dismissed it saying something like "things get said.. but.. I roll on." she also said that Obama has told her several times that he greatly respects McCain. Perhaps this - and the NY Times editorial which said the McCain-Palin were running a dirty campaign, and perhaps because the outcome seems inevitable, has had a bearing on McCain's toning down the rhetoric. L

[JB] Yes, I also watched the Michelle Obama's interview with Larry King. The HARMLESSNESS and GOODWILL that she expressed were truly exceptional, at the level of probationary discipleship, I think.
She went beyond the "I roll on." She explained that her mother had taught her to psychologically repudiate derogatory remarks by not believing them instead of returning the attack in self-defense.
She probably hasn't read our Treatise on White Magic, but she is a better practitioner of that basic requirement --HARMLESSNESS-- than many of us.
She also persuasively argued that it doesn't make sense to run a negative, divisive and polarizing campaign for president if the goal is to become the president of a whole nation, not just of a party. Plain common sense, isn't it?
Also, when any of us who has read A Treatise on White Magic uses the word "socialist" as an insult, the Master Himself is disrespected, because He has clearly stated that there are three equally legitimate ideologies recognized by the Hierarchy. -JB

A remarkable coincidence of events

"As one who was a victim of violence and hate during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, I am deeply disturbed by the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign.  What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history.  Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse."

Lewis concludes: "As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all.  They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy."

McCain Offended by Lewis' Comments; Calls On Obama to Condemn

October 11, 2008 3:12 PM

Clearly wounded by the remarks of Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., condemning the tone at his rallies, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., issued this statement a few minutes ago.

"Congressman John Lewis' comments represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale," McCain said. "The notion that legitimate criticism of Senator Obama's record and positions could be compared to Governor George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign."

McCain continued, saying "I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I've always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track."

"I call on Senator Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America."

UPDATE: Obama spox Bill Burton responds to McCain's statements: "Senator Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies.  But John Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked just last night, as well as the baseless and profoundly irresponsible charges from his own running mate that the Democratic nominee for President of the United States 'pals around with terrorists.' The Bubbles Burst and the Markets CRASH!

[WSJ] Stocks fell for the seventh straight trading day on Thursday, continuing what amounts to a slow-motion crash that has pulled the market down more than 20% over that brief period. The decline leaves America in one of its worst bear markets in decades, a slump that is triggering comparisons to long-running declines of the 1930s and 1970s. U.S. stocks, as measured by the Dow Jones Wilshire 5000, shed $872 billion in market value on Thursday, $2.5 trillion over the last seven trading sessions, and $8.4 trillion since hitting an all-time high one year ago Thursday. The index includes almost all U.S. public companies.
